This important presentation is to be given at a number of venues and at different times as well as on one of our radio programs on or after 30th March 2025.

Nearly 2,000 years ago Jesus Christ the Son of God was born to Mary, his Jewish mother, in Bethlehem. His birth was the fulfilment of a covenant promise by God his Father from the time of Creation. That promise was to restore what had been lost when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden of Eden.
After Jesus’ baptism at about the age of 30 he began a ministry preaching the Gospel (good news): about his name – which is God’s purpose for him enabling forgiveness for all believers; and the Kingdom of God – a prophecy of a glorious time to come on the earth when Jesus Christ will sit on his ancestor King David’s throne in Jerusalem, ruling peacefully over a restored earth.
Jesus’ preaching of the Gospel, healing of the sick, and forgiveness of the repentant was loved by multitudes of people. But not everyone took the time to understand his message and some, who felt threatened by his challenge to their old ways, plotted his death to silence him.
Jesus Christ died by crucifixion as was prophesied in the Old Testament – a prophecy Jesus knew would come to pass, a destiny he chose to follow to enable forgiveness of sin. Jesus died with confidence that God knew that he had never sinned and was not worthy of death – therefore his Father would raise him from the dead.
His resurrection (his body raised back to life) was a gift of God that could then be shared with all those who believe in God’s plan and purpose, who change their lives to give Him glory and are baptised into his saving name.
After he was raised from the dead Jesus Christ spent weeks with his disciples explaining the purpose of God. He then ascended from the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem up to heaven, to sit at God’s right-hand until the time is right for him to return and set up the Kingdom of God on the earth. Today he hears our prayers and mediates for us to his Father because he understands our mortal difficulties and he wants us to be saved.
Today, as believers, we wait patiently in hope for Christ’s return to the earth, for the resurrection of the faithful who have died and his righteous judgment of all believers. The invitation will be given to all those who have loved him to join that Kingdom.
Come along to our presentations on “The Return of Jesus Christ” to find out what gives us confidence in this hope. Learn of the signs we see in the world which show that God and His angels are working to prepare the world for Jesus Christ’s return, and what each of us can do to prepare a character ready to worship Him eternally in the Kingdom of God on the earth

The subject is also to be presented on our Radio Program, “Bible Spotlight” on Coast FM 88.7 at 8:00 pm on Sunday 30th March.
