His sister died in distressing circumstances, alone in a remote rural property, and when he visited – to feed the cat and tidy up a little – he thought he heard voices as he entered. There was no one there, but whenever he next visited that conviction grew. Was his sister trying to communicate with him? Trying to tell him something? Wanting to say ‘Goodbye’? That sense of loss and regret is common to many of us, especially when the death of a loved one occurs unexpectedly.
